Cheryl first entered the helping professions over twenty-five years ago, by working at a shelter for men experiencing homelessness. At CHRC, her dream of seeing people being able to access the holistic resources needed to heal mind, body and spirit have been realized.
Jay’s passion is to help people unleash their potential. For over 20 years, Jay has used speaking, teaching, pastoral counselling, life coaching and wilderness adventures to help people learn to grow and become more of who they really are.

Registered Nutritional Therapist
Using functional blood chemistry analysis, Ashley uncovers the root causes of symptoms and develops a bio-individualized supplement protocol to support and prevent specific chronic conditions. Ashley educates and empowers clients to step into their highest potential.
Ashley has work in publicly funded addiction services for 6+ years. She loves working at CHRC because of it’s refreshing passionate sense of hope and amazing opportunities it offers clients.

For the last 13 years, Jenn has worked in an outpatient addiction setting with a focus on problem gambling, intake services, and community withdrawal management support. Jenn has a combined expertise and deep desire to help individuals and families struggling with mental health and addiction.

Penny has been registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario for 31 years. Her nursing career began in the hospital setting, working on coronary care and medical units in Peterborough and Toronto.

Aaron’s refreshing approach to the ideas of religion and meaning allows the participants a sense their story matters, whether they are religious, atheist or agnostic.

Nick found his passion for working in the field of addictions and mental health after experiencing the personal pain of seeing family and friends suffer with substance abuse problems.
Taking the lead from the client, Cathy helps to bring understanding to driving forces that create challenges in everyday life, making change possible.

Dave brings decades of experience working with people, and loves to see them move forward in their journey. He is passionate about helping those who feel broken – to find healing, and those who are ready to take their next steps – to reach their goals.

Will’s counselling style is Rogerian, in that he truly believes that an unconditionally warm and positive regard for each client is essential in forming the relationships necessary to promote change.
Patrick’s personal experience helping friends and family dealing with addictions cemented his desire to help others and evolved into a professional interest in the field of addictions and mental health.
Michael returned to school at Fleming College in Peterborough where he earned diplomas in the Mental Health and Addictions and Social Service Worker programs. Lived experience and a desire to help others led to his decision to return to school and subsequently join the staff at CHRC.
Judy is passionate about helping others, believes in the holistic approach to recovery, and works with her clients toward healing the mind, body and spirit.
Roland brings a unique and spiritual approach with smudging and indigenous healing rituals to his morning motivation groups.
Jude is a strong advocate for healthy changes in life habits as the first step to implementing change. Consistency, mindfulness, visualization and positivity are Jude’s mantras.
As a retired RPN with over 30 years in a hospital setting, Tony brings a wealth of experience to serve our clients and ensure that they are well supported throughout the night.

Karen has experience working in homeless shelters, has been a Case Manager with male federal offenders on parole in the community and is also an Addictions Case Manager in the Peterborough supporting the homeless community.
Peter is a SCUBA instructor by day and his years of working with OPP as a detachment guard ensure that our clients are well protected at night from outside influences.
Diana joins our team as our receptionist and administrative assistant, Diana has worked in the customer service industry for most of her life.
Alex began his professional culinary career as a dishwasher at the prestigious Fazio’s restaurant in Oshawa and climbed his way up to the role of executive chef. The rest, as they say, is history

Andrew turned to yoga when his life was spinning out of control, and it changed his life. He started teaching yoga 7 years ago with the intention of helping others through yoga in the way that it helped him.
John is multi-talented and is always available for any emergency, big or small. John ensures that all the buildings and equipment are fully operational and safe.
Julie Kennedy maintains a clean and healthy environment for our guests during their stay. Julie brings to our team, not only her upbeat and outgoing positive attitude but also two decades of experience and infection control training.

Mike’s joy of working with the men from CHRC as they volunteered to serve meals to the less fortunate is what led the centre to consider him for this position.
